I am an oceanographer completing an Erasmus Mundus Ph.D. in Marine and Coastal Management at the University of Cádiz, Spain. My broad interests include environmental changes and anthropogenic impacts and interactions with the social-ecological systems, socioeconomic and ecological vulnerability of deltas, urban vulnerability, ecosystem services, and impacts on coastal zones, water pollution, environmental management and sustainable development of social-ecological systems. My current research is related to vulnerability, adaptation, and flood risk assessment in urban areas of the Amazon Delta System, as well as urban infrastructure, socioeconomic indicators, quantitative and qualitative field research assessment and data analysis, geospatial analysis, and participatory stakeholder approaches. I am a research associate in the Center for the Analysis of Social-Ecological Landscapes (CASEL) at Indiana and have contributed to international collaborations for deltas sustainability and stakeholder approaches in the Amazon Delta.
