Anne Brochot
Voulx
Anne Brochot was born in 1960 and grew up in the countryside. She travels, creates and lives from odd jobs before studying architecture and urban planning at the Ecole de la Villette in Paris at the age of 36. There, she found a way to link anthropological and visual questionings. After graduating, she turned away from the constructed object to take an interest in territories and environments as products of the natural or artificial principles that shaped them. In 2012 she created CourCommune, an artistic third place located 100 km from Paris, which she animates in the spirit of Robert Filliou: “Art is what makes life more interesting than art”. The way of life, around a workshop space and a garden, is participative and inspired by the regrowth movement.
