Audrey Yeo
Edinburgh
Her recent research focused on recognizing and challenging the limitations of perspective enabled via our language and predominantly western-driven culture and values. Inspired from her eastern upbringing and the teachings from living organisms that do not speak the same language, acknowledging how the busyness of city life can drown out valuable teachings from often overlooked living organisms we are coexisting with. Prior to that, her research focused on the circular economy and how businesses can transit into sustainable business models. Her interest to work with communities have brought her to projects in Zero Waste Scotland, refugees communities on the island of Lesvos, Greece and local communities in the Catalonia region in Spain that are self-sustainable. As a recent masters graduate from the MA Art, Space and Nature course at the Edinburgh College of Art with her background in Business, she is currently in the midst of finding her footing and transiting from academia into the working world. She practices Capoeira, enjoys taking long walks and reading about psychology, authentic communication and relationships.
