Dr Caragh Threlfall is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Green Infrastructure Research Group at The University of Melbourne. Her research interests include urban biodiversity, urban planning and design, social-ecological interdisciplinary studies, landscape ecology, and the ecology and conservation of insectivorous bats. Her research is focussed on understanding the impact of urban form on biodiversity, measuring the services biodiversity provides across urban landscapes, and assessing the effectiveness of urban greening for biodiversity conservation. She enjoys research that tackles applied ecological problems, and in her current role is assessing the ecosystem services and biodiversity values of urban green spaces in Melbourne, in an effort to develop biodiversity-friendly management practices.
