Ellika Hermansson Török is a Senior Adviser for SwedBio at Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, and is responsible for SwedBio’s project portfolio of urban collaborative projects in developing countries.
The SwedBio programme is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and is working for resilient ecosystem management and governance through policy and methods development, facilitation of dialogues and contributions to strategic programmes in developing countries.
One of the programmes funded by SwedBio is the Urban Natural Assets for Africa (UNA) programme led by ICLEI Cities Biodiversity Center – aiming to mainstream nature-based solutions into land use planning and local government decision making processes for increased climate resilience. Ellika has been actively involved in UNA from the start in 2014. She lives in Stockholm next to one of the city’s largest urban nature reserves and loves to explore nature in and around the cities she visits for work.
