Fabio graduated in Biological Sciences (UEM), has a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urbanism (UFBA), and a PhD degree in Ecology and Environment (Autonomous University of Madrid). His Doctoral thesis “Planeta Ciudad: Ecología Urbana y Planificación de Ciudades Medias de Brasil” (City Planet: Urban Ecology and Planning of Medium-sized Cities in Brazil) is composed of three studies: one on the environmental management and planning capacity of the medium-sized cities in Brazil, and two on surveys about the floras (and their uses) found in urban backyards of different social classes. He is a researcher and permanent professor of the Master’s degree course in Geography at UFMT, Rondonópolis campus – research line Geotechnology Applied to Environmental Management and Analysis. In addition, he coordinates the project Urban Biodiversity of Rondonópolis.
