Gavin Van Horn

Gavin Van Horn works at the Center for Humans and Nature as the Director of Cultures of Conservation. He is the co-editor of City Creatures: Animal Encounters in the Chicago Wilderness (2015) and Wildness: Relations of People and Place (2017). He writes for, edits, and curates the City Creatures Blog. He is currently working on a new book, The Channel Coyotes: Otherworlds in the Urban Wilds, which highlights urban animals and the ways in which they can expand human understandings of place.
