Gitty Korsuize works as an independent urban ecologist. She lives in the city of Utrecht. She connects people with nature, nature with people and people with an interest in nature with each other. Gitty connects people with nature, nature with people and people with an interest in nature with each other. As a strategist she seizes opportunities to preserve and strengthen nature. The Utrecht approach to the animal-friendly building, for example, converts the flora and fauna research funds into more effective measures for animals that depend on buildings in the city. As co-chair of the Eurocities working group on Green Areas and Biodiversity she innovates ways of sharing knowledge on best practices. The working group gives input to the European Biodiversity Strategy and we try to inspire green and biodiverse revolution in cities across Europe. She also joined the fantastic Nature of Cities curator team for the organisation of the TNOC Festival.
