Graciela Arosemena is a Researcher and Professor of Urban Open Spaces at University of Panama, Panama, and the author of “Urban Agriculture: Spaces of Cultivation for a Sustainable City”. Much of her work is dedicated to research on urban sustainability and the impact of urban food on environment. Also she has been studying the role of tropical trees in the development of an urban green infrastructure. Graciela has been working on the Sustainable Cultural Landscape Plan for Panama Viejo, and also researching on historic evolution of landscape and the food ecological footprint of the old city of Panama. She holds a PhD in Energy and Environment in Architecture, and a Master’s Degree in Urban Environment and Sustainability, from Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. Graciela lives in Panama City.
