Henrik von Wehrden is a professor of natural science methods at Leuphana University in Lueneburg, Germany. In his research, he aims to create a link between ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services research. Therefore, he has a strong methodological focus, and a disciplinary research background in community ecology, biodiversity, and conservation biology. Henrik searches for patterns along gradients and boundaries within systems. He combines spatial data and knowledge throughout scales and organisms to generate a more sound understanding of the dynamics of our planet. Henrik thus tries to contribute by acquiring and processing spatial data and ecological expertise while providing methodological frameworks for inter- and transdisciplinary projects. He has published across a wide array of disciplines, and has been involved in the practical application of his research results for more than a decade.
