Hugh has consulted on renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy measurement and verification, and green building projects for private, municipal, and federal clients, as well as provided financial and technical due diligence for private equity investors and start-up/growth stage companies. Hugh’s previous experience also includes working within and consulting for corporate sustainability departments on topics including sustainable manufacturing metrics, supply chain/supplier evaluations with regards to environmental and social parameters, and corporate sustainability reporting. Hugh received his BS in Resource Ecology and Management and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He also received an MS in Forest Science, Conservation and Policy from the University of Minnesota, where his research focused on forest productivity and recovery following natural and anthropogenic disturbances. Hugh’s other natural resource management experience includes leading and contributing to environmental restoration projects, municipal cover-type and land use mapping, and the design of stormwater best management practices. At Drexel, Hugh contributes technical expertise and manages special projects, including being a co-author of Options for Achieving Deep Reductions in Carbon Emissions in Philadelphia by 2050, an 80 by 50 GHG mitigation plan produced in conjunction with the City’s Office of Sustainability.
