Jay Valgora
New York
For Mr. Valgora, the art of architecture and design is an engaging, inclusive practice that connects culture and a community with its physical environment. Mr. Valgora brings together an extraordinary range of disciplines at every scale: architecture, waterfront master planning, urban design, and interior design. He seeks to create outstanding work that is intimately connected to function, history, and context. To achieve this goal, he founded his own firm, STUDIO V Architecture.
The Studio has emerged as an astonishing force in the New York architecture and design scene. The Studio has earned major commissions in waterfront master planning, urban design, buildings, and interiors, and a range of project types including public parks, residential, hospitality, institutional, retail, and cultural spaces.
Previously, Mr. Valgora oversaw worldwide design for WalkerGroup, and was a founding member and Design Director of Rockwell Group. He was a Fulbright Fellow to the United Kingdom for architecture and urban design, and earned a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.
