Jonathan Craik is a Landscape Architect with five years’ experience in a wide range of urban renewal and landscape design projects. After completing his Bachelor degree studies, he began his career working as a graduate LA for a professional practice in Cape Town, South Africa. Here he gained international experience working on a variety of projects, ranging from small scale urban design to strategic master planning. Noteworthy is his involvement in and significant contribution to large park developments in central and northern Africa. Jonathan then commenced his postgraduate Masters degree at the University of Copenhagen, where he tailored his courses to urban design and park development with a focus on studio design. He received a scholarship to conduct research for his thesis in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he spent six months collaborating with professors at the affiliated Universidad de Flores. His studies examined the meaningful role of placemaking in the green infrastructure of developing world mega-cities. Now working at Gillespies LLP in London UK, Jonathan’s work as focused on high quality city-centre regeneration projects and residential schemes. He has been a key member of the design team working on prominent projects both locally in the UK and abroad in the Middle East.
