Karahan Kadrman

Karahan Kadrman is a songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who creates music and songs for movies, theater plays and modern art. Originally from Izmir, he lives in Istanbul where he stages group and individual performances. He performs vocals, alto saxophone, acoustic guitar, piano, ney, computer based instruments, synthesizer, didgeridoo, bass, kam and various world culture brass and wind instruments. His Mors project got him invitations to present series of concerts and performances in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin and Jerusalem. Having a keen interest in philosophy, cinema and visual arts, he has created many projects on different musical genres and made a couple of records. He is working with international peace organizations, environmental health organizations and independent art collectives. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Musicology from Izmir Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts and is a scholar of shamanic traditions and ritual music of Anatolian and Altay cultures.
