Katherine Baldock is a Knowledge Exchange fellow based in the School of Biological Sciences and Cabot Institute at the University of Bristol. Her research focuses on plant-pollinator communities using ecological networks as a tool to examine plant-pollinator interactions, and includes both urban and tropical systems. In her previous postdoctoral role, she managed the Urban Pollinators Project, a large-scale study of pollinators in U.K. urban areas, which involved a consortium of academics, NGOs and local authorities. She currently holds a NERC Knowledge Exchange Fellowship and is working with a range of stakeholders to improve policy and practice for pollinator conservation in urban areas and to develop further research on pollinators in urban areas. She has recently produced a Policy and Practice Note on managing urban areas for pollinators.
