Katie Keddie is a doctoral researcher at the University of Nottingham with a background in environmental leadership and human geography. Her current research examines Nottingham’s journey to carbon neutrality, exploring how emotions, justice, and place are woven into this transformative process. Employing a qualitative mixed-method approach—encompassing semi-structured interviews, ethnography, document analysis, and community workshops— she investigates both top-down (policy, local government) and bottom-up (community groups, activism) actions. This work offers insights into how change is enacted in Nottingham and the diverse visions its residents have for the city’s future.
