Dr. Koko Warner is a Senior Scientist at the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), where she leads the Environmental Migration, Social Vulnerability & Adaptation Section. She is also the Executive Director of the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative (MCII), which is hosted at UNU-EHS. Dr. Koko Warner is a renowned expert on the impacts of climate change in communities across the world and she holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Vienna, Austria. She was recently nominated as one of the top 20 women making waves in the climate change debate by the International Council of Science. Dr. Warner is a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change´s Fifth Assessment Report, Working Group 2 on Adaptation and her findings have been widely published. A national of the United States, Dr. Warner also speaks fluent German and Spanish.
