Lauren Smalls-Mantey, Ph.D is an Environmental Engineer working at the New York City’s Department of Parks and Recreation. As a part of the Division of Forestry, Horticulture, and Natural Resources, Dr. Smalls-Mantey serves as the Urban Heat Resilience Project Coordinator for the Cool Neighborhoods Initiative. Prior to working at Parks, Dr. Smalls-Mantey was a Ph.D candidate at Drexel University in the Sustainable Water Resource Engineering Laboratory.
