Lisa Ciecko is Plant Ecologist, Seattle Parks and Recreation. Lisa works as a Plant Ecologist for Seattle Parks and Recreation, directly managing Green Seattle Partnership restoration efforts. Her work includes directing professional crew and volunteer work, coordinating ecological monitoring and forest health research, as well as managing public engagement and education programming. Prior to her work with Parks, she led regional forest assessment efforts with Forterra, including coordinating three large-scale i-Tree Eco studies as part of the Green Cities Research Alliance. Lisa received her Master of Science from the University of Washington’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, with thesis work on improving seedling survivorship for the Green Seattle Partnership. Lisa is also the Vice Chair of the Washington Community Forestry Council, a state-wide urban forestry advisory board for the Washington Department of Natural Resources.
