Maggie Lin
Hong Kong
Inspired to introduce well-being creatively, Maggie creates sensory experiences. She cofounded a city perfumery nose hk, on smell and emotions. She leads sensory events, informed by her practice and teaching of yoga and mindfulness. Her sensitivity to the urbanscape draws from her work at The Pocket Parks Collective, using art and urban interventions to humanize the city. Ten years ago, Maggie began practising yoga after retiring from junior tennis, and yoga also became the topic for her Anthropology Master thesis. She is featured in a documentary on creativity, Creativity Is. Maggie’s family name, Lin (連) means “to connect”, same meaning as the Sanskrit word for yoga, “yuj”. She believes well-being can come from better connecting within, with each other, and with the world around us. A certified yoga teacher, she has also completed courses at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre in the UK and Hong Kong Center For Mindfulness.
