Mahendra Sethi is an urban environment expert and editor at the National Institute of Urban Affairs, India. He is a recipient if the coveted UNU-IAS PhD Fellowship at the United Nations University – Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), Tokyo in Sustainable Urban Futures Programme and has over a decade of experience in development planning. His recent book, “Climate Change and Urban Settlements – A Spatial Perspective of Carbon Footprint and Beyond” (Routledge) explores the significance of sustainable urbanization at global, national and local levels in controlling global climate change.
