Manuela Gervasi

Manuela Gervasi is an urban planner with a master’s degree in Environmental Governance awarded by the Institute for the Advanced Studies of Sustainability of the United Nations University in Tokyo and another in Urban Planning and Policy at the Polytechnic of Milan. Due to her interest in city resilience through integrated and ecosystem based approaches to adaptation, she also pursued an interdisciplinary program at doctoral level. She combines experience as a professional urban planner with research, programme management and international cooperation work in various international organizations, local governments, and universities, and has contributed to the New Urban Agenda by mainstreaming ecosystem services, green infrastructure and biodiversity into the UN Habitat Issue Papers.
