Marié du Toit is an urban landscape ecologist and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the North-West University in South Africa. Her research focuses on socio-ecological systems within natural temperate grassland settings. She is specifically interested in the effects of the history of the landscape on contemporary urban vegetation.
