Mary Mattingly

Mary Mattingly’s work has been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, International Center of Photography, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de la Habana, Storm King, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and the Palais de Tokyo. In 2015 she launched Swale, a floating food forest on a barge in New York and began transforming military equipment into social infrastructure (with MoMA and BRIC Brooklyn). Her work has been featured in Art in America, Artforum, Sculpture Magazine, The New York Times, Financial Times, New Yorker, and on BBC, NPR, and on Art21. It has been included in Whitechapel/MIT Press Documents of Contemporary Art, and Henry Sayer’s A World of Art. Mattingly is engaged in questions about how art can influence policy and strengthen the Commons.
