McKenna Davis works as a Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute in Berlin and coordinates the Institute’s activities on Nature-based Solutions (NbS). With a Master’s degree in environmental governance, her work focuses on the science-policy-society interface and bringing different perspectives, types of knowledge and values into the NbS discourse and decision-making processes. More specifically, she conducts transdisciplinary research around NbS policy and governance, co-creation and stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and urban transformation. Prior to getting into the research field, McKenna combined her love of animals and travel and supported a number of wildlife conservation projects around the world. She has been fortunate to be able to carry this passion into her career, advocating for a biodiversity-positive perspective in all aspects of her NbS research. McKenna currently coordinates the Horizon Europe-funded INTERLACE project and oversaw the development of its Urban Governance Atlas, showcasing 250 good practice examples of global policy instruments supporting NbS.
