Méliné Baronian is an Energy Engineer for the City of Versailles. She has been in charge of implementing the PCAET (Plan Climat- Air- Energie Territorial) of the urban community. This project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy dependence, while promoting adaptation to climate change.
She’s also seeking funding to implement the city’s strategies and actions. These missions require a transversal approach and innovative solutions to solve the city’s daily problems. In this context, she defined and wrote the city’s proposal for the submission of a European project whose objective is to improve the health and well-being of citizens through Nature Based Solutions (NBS) by promoting interaction between human being and nature.
She was also selected to join the Women4Climate mentoring program of the C40 cities association. The Women4Climate Mentorship Programme matches city officials, committed leaders from the business sector, international organizations, and civil society with emerging women leaders. Each woman selected for the scheme receives training that highlights skills development, addresses barriers, and inspires deeper engagement with climate change.
