Rachna Lévêque is an urban and regional planner with several years of global experience on projects ranging from buildings and public space to strategic city planning and policy making. She is currently conducting doctoral research in Resilient Cities at UCL in collaboration with Buro Happold (EPSRC grant). Her research investigates how different actors come together to collectively govern the myriad implications of urban densification (the current policy norm for delivering sustainable cities) and how they influence policy in two cities – Mumbai and London. The aim of the research is to understand how governance and institutional structures create the conditions for cities to be adaptable and transformable in the face of multiple interlinked stresses.
