Sabina Caula is a biologist with a Master’s in ecology from the Central University of Venezuela. She earned a PhD in biology, evolution, and ecology at the University of Montpellier II in France. She is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology in the University of Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela. Currently, she is on a sabbatical year teaching and investigating at the Technical University of the North in Ibarra, Ecuador. She has written many articles in peer reviewed international journals and books. Her work focuses on the ecology of bird communities, urban ecology, environmental and socioeconomic assessments, and environmental education.
