Sandra Laugier isProfessor of Philosophy at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Paris, France, and Senior Fellow of Institut Universitaire de France.
She has extensively published on ordinary language philosophy (Wittgenstein, Austin, Cavell); moral philosophy (moral perfectionism, ethics of care); classic American philosophy (Cavell, Thoreau, Emerson). Her most recent work focuses on democracy and civil disobedience; gender studies, care and environment; and TV series.
She is the PI of the European Research Council Advanced Grant project DEMOSERIES
