Alessandra Pavesi earned a bachelor’s degree in Ecology from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), and she holds a doctoral degree in Education from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, 2007). She was postdoctoral researcher at the Architecture and Urban Planning Institute (IAU-USP). Currently she is consultant on Environmental Education and Conservation Education. Her present research is focused on learning theories and strategies aimed at qualifying the community engagement in activities oriented toward nature conservation in cities. Since 2016 she has been working for the outreach activity A Arca do Cerrado: jardinagem para a valorização e a recuperação do Cerrado (The Cerrado Ark: Gardening for Cerrado Valuation and Restoration), on the UFSCar campus, Brazil.
