I am an interdisciplinary urban ecologist, with 17 years of experience in urban ecology, social work, and wildlife management. I am an expert on social justice and equity dimensions of ecological design projects, environmental planning regulations and climate resilience planning. I collaborate on design projects and policy development efforts that integrate ecological design, environmental planning and social equity issues. I assist municipal staff, city and state policy makers and non-profits to develop design and policy strategies that promote economic stability and ecological diversity. My research focuses on responses to urban ecological gentrification pressures, the social dynamics of novel urban ecological communities, and equity-focused approaches to climate resilience planning and design.
