Sven is a San Francisco-based solutions journalist and whole systems thinker committed to the advancement of ecologically healthy cities and a livable planet. His creative approach to storytelling has distilled topics ranging from open streets to urban equity into their human essence for publications such as YES! Magazine, Shareable, Grist, Mother Earth News, and Planetizen. A long time core advisor to UN-accredited nonprofit Ecocity Builders, Sven’s natural affinity for car-free living dates all the way back to his first tricycle ride down the middle of a city street in his native Germany. He is currently the publisher and editor of The Art of the Green New Deal, a next generation journal of creative culture shift.
