Sylvie (PhD in Urban Studies) is an architect, senior researcher at the Larep (landscape research laboratory – http://www.ecole-paysage.fr/site/recherche_fr) and full professor in landscape architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles (France). She is member of the IRCS (http://www.sustainability-studies.org), BABEL network (http://babel.hypotheses.org) and part of the scientific committees of the reviews ‘projet de paysage’ and ‘Cahiers thématiques du Lacth’. She practiced architecture, urban design and landscape architecture for a long time. Now she focuses on teaching and research. Her research addresses sensitive ecological transition based on a living urban, peri-urban and rural landscape. Her topics —public space, urban undergrounds, waterfronts and green infrastructures, peri-urban and landscape evolutions— aim at a sensitive and socio-ecosystemic approach of living environments in urban design and landscape architecture.
