Viveca is a researcher and filmmaker. At the BBC she directed and produced long form science, history, and arts programmes. For the past five years she has integrated film and photography as methods in sustainability projects aiming to build better cities, to know more about human-nature interactions and to include marginalised or unheard voices. She is curious about ways to promote dialogues from the head as well as the heart and explores embodied and creative approaches to engaging communities, policy makers and researchers. Her current research investigates the tacit knowledge and skills embedded in crafts practices and in particular, the qualities of reciprocity and responsibility. Viveca has worked at the Stockholm Resilience Centre and on international development projects in Ethiopia, Malawi and Kenya.
